Erin Scott is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a National Certified Counselor. Erin graduated with a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. She has experience providing Mental Health and Substance Abuse treatment services for adults and adolescents in a variety of settings such as Intensive Outpatient Programs, Residential Treatment Programs, and Private Practice settings.
She is extremely passionate about empowering and helping women and teens to find their voice, utilize their power, and focus on their strengths.
Her experience includes, but is not limited to, depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, life transitions, breakups, conflict in interpersonal relationships, self-esteem, stress management, anger management, career development, identity issues, motherhood-related issues, and parenting.
Erin’s approach to counseling is eclectic (motivational interviewing, solution focused, strength-based approaches, and cognitive behavioral therapy). She takes pride in the ability to provide individualized and emphatic therapeutic services.
Erin believes that “The client is the expert on their own life and helping clients build on their strength is an essential part of therapy. It is important to provide a safe, warm, and non-judgmental environment in order for clients to grow and learn in their journey.”
